Due to the economy’s downturn, banks’ credit tightening and its trickle
effect on Oklahoma City, many developers say they are proceeding with
caution, waiting until more-than-adequate preleasing or sales are
obtained before beginning new projects. The following is a compilation
of various, but not all, commercial developments that are displaying
steady construction throughout the metro.
Edmond
Fountain Lake
13821 N Eastern
Garland
Bell, Mike Dillard, and Roddy Bates are developing Fountain
Lake, a $75 million, 46-acre, mixed-use project consisting of retail
shops, offices, multi-family housing, Switzer’s Locker Room
Self-Storage and a lake. The site is the former Lion’s Park.
The
project will consist of 75,000 square feet of retail store front space,
28,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space, 30,000 square feet of
professional office space, 85,000 square feet of personal storage
space, 22 acres of multifamily housing and a “state-of-the-art”
automated tunnel car wash. Steve Walters with Equity Realty and Amy
Dunn and Brent Conway with CB Richard Ellis/Oklahoma are handling sales
and leasing.
